Aflockalypse Now! Why are birds falling from the sky?

Aflockalypse now?Aflockalypse now?  All across the globe, it seems, animals are dropping dead in alarming numbers. Mainstream media outlets carried the news of the mass deaths of thousands of Starlings in Beebe Arkansas. Distressing images of the dead birds, which in places quite literally carpeted areas of Beebe - were flashed across the world - and then in the space of one hundred Kilometres and a few days, news filtered through that thousands of fish had mysteriously died in the Arkansas River - that number has since been revised upwards to 'Possibly hundreds of thousands'.  Those two astonishing and disturbing mass animal deaths thrust such events into the spotlight and since then the 'highly strange' fatalities continue unabated.  Arkansas had the spotlight removed as mass bird deaths were reported in Louisiana, Kentucky and Texas. Millions of fish have perished in Chesapeake Bay and now news reaches us of more unusual mass bird deaths in Sweden and Italy - Blackbirds perished en masse in Sweden and Faenza in Italy saw thousands of Turtle Doves mysteriously drop dead. As a result of the intense reporting of the unusual circumstances other reports have surfaced on 'mysterious or unexplained' deaths of animals in the last year. 10,000 Antelopes in Russia which just 'dropped dead', thousands of Lorikeets in Australia mysteriously succumbing to what appeared at first sight to be 'drunkenness', and just in the last 48 hours it has been reported that 40,000 dead crabs washed ashore in England. So what could be behind such events?

Scientists naturally reach for a 'logical' answer - but the number of 'causes' put forward by scientists this week for each and every case has been as numerous as the scientists themselves - 'Intense micro pulse', 'Disease', 'Pollution', 'Fireworks', Tornados', 'Aircraft strike', 'Contaminated water' - from this list one can deduce that the only conclusive answer currently is 'We don't know'. It's a worrying situation. Mass deaths of animals are not uncommon but neither are they this common. Into the melting pot of ideas surrounding bird deaths we here at Planet Flipside would like to throw yet another one in for good measure - Has anyone considered how the rapidly changing magnetic field could be affecting the birds in particular? It seems far fetched but the connection between birds and the Magnetic Poles is well known - But wouldn't there need to be a drastic shift in the Earth's Magnetic Pole to cause problems on this scale? How drastic does it have to be before it's called 'drastic'? Just this week it was announced that the change in the Earth's Magnetic Pole is so severe that Tampa Airport will have to close in order to repaint the runways with new numerals and designators as they are now so out of line with current aviation charts. All because the Magnetic Pole started shifting toward Russia at the incredible rate of 40 miles per year.

There are not that many things we can be certain of in all of this, but there are a few, the Planet is pretty messed up - most of us are at least aware of that - Just how messed up may be being tragically given testimony by our Fish and Birds (And Bees if anyone is aware of the crisis with them too).

*Update - Preliminary autopsies of the birds from Beebe show that their organs were almost all intact (though some had suffered trauma, presumably from falling) but that their Liver was LIQUIFIED! Now it has shades of weaponry, technology or even HAARP.
