The Dome of the Rock Jerusalem

Planet Flipside revisits the whole Dome of the Rock mystery today after a fifth video of the ufo events there surfaced on the internet. When the original video broke some six weeks ago - many cried 'hoax' immediately. This appeared to be confirmed when a second video of the alleged event; in which a ufo was seen to hover above the Dome of the Rock before heading skywards in a blinding flash and at great speed, was proven to be a hoax. However 3 of the 4 videos which ultimately surfaced at the time were far from easily proved to be a hoax. The controvery rumbled on before interest waned.

At Planet Flipside we took a guarded approach to the videos and did so because the quality of the videos was such that we believed they had been constructed by professionals - and with a major 'UFO' movie only weeks away from release (Battle of LA) we suspected this might be viral advertising to promote the movie. Looking back however, now that the movie has been released, no one has stepped forward to claim responsibility for any of the videos other than those who say they took them. If this were viral advertising the pattern which is usually followed is that the studio puts its hands up and confesses once the movie has been released. No such thing has happened. So where does that leave us? It leaves us discounting the possibility of viral advertising and studying a whole new video of the event as seen from a differing location than those in the other 3 (genuine?) and 1 (hoax) videos.

What was the purpose of the hoax? Again no one appears to have stepped forward to claim responsibility for it which is unusual. Looking at the big picture it may just be that the hoax video was put together to discredit the original Dome video and to do so quickly.
