The UFO pictured this morning Astonished Australians woke this morning to witness a ufo streaking its way across several states. In what is undoubtedly one of the largest ufo sightings ever recorded, hundreds if not thousands watched as a swirling 'bright, white light' spiralled its way over at least three states. Whilst generally being described as 'fast' but not 'meteor fast' - many folks had time to run inside, grab a camera and snap the object. Some even captured video.

The objects behaviour as it spiralled across the sky, bore a striking resemblance to the 'spiralling light' which was captured on video above Norway earlier this year - the main difference this time being that the Australian object spiralled whilst continuing across the sky - The Norwegian object spiralled whilst essentially remaining in the one location.

Police and Search and Rescue operators confirmed that many calls had been received from residents scattered throughout the South East of Queensland. It was approximately 5:50am when the object was first observed in Queensland and appeared to be travelling West. Officials say it may have been a piece of space debris in a low trajectory burning and breaking up as it re-entered earth's atmosphere. Eye witness testimony however points to something else. One eye witness described it as 'larger than an aeroplane' before noting it broke off into three separate triangular pieces all of which travelled in differing directions - one of them even travelled UPWARDS!

News continues to break on this sighting and we at Planet Flipside and our sister publication High Strangeness are currently sifting through many of the eye witness statements which have been coming in throughout the day. At present no one from the Australian Defence forces or Air force in particular has stated that anything was recorded on radar.
